Each month uses the role in effect that month, so past reports, service-year goals and lifetime stats stay accurate.
Goals
Regular Pioneer
Special Pioneer
Auxiliary Pioneer
Publishers have no hour goal. Pioneer progress uses ministry + credit hours combined. Service year runs September 1 – August 31. Change these if your assignment differs.
Avenues of work
Tag each time entry with an avenue and choose how it counts on your report.
Tracts & campaigns
One-tap choices when you log a visit (Addresses › Visit). Rename them for your language, add your own, or remove ones you don’t use. Numbers follow this order.
Report format
You serve as a publisher, so your report has no hours or credit. The Publisher (no hours) layout is used unless you choose Custom selection or Custom template.

These layouts are general options, not official formats — ask your congregation secretary what they need. Report translations use simple, standard words; please review them.
Report reminders
Downloads a calendar file: repeats on the last day of every month at 7:00 PM, with an alert 1 hour before.
My profile
Congregation
Used for phone country codes, address search, and default units. Optional.
Congregation Secretary
Used by “Send to secretary” on the Report screen. Congregation details stay on this device (and in your backups).
Makes the words bigger or smaller across the app. Medium is the usual size.
Changes the lettering across the app. Default is the usual font. Works offline.
Theme
·
Schedule options
Pick a theme from the list to preview it, then tap Apply to keep it or Cancel to go back. Classic is the default, original look. Character and car themes use colors only (no character art or logos). With seasonal themes on, a theme you apply stays until the next season starts. Light and dark mode follow your phone (Tesla is always dark). Stage colors, map pins, weather and the map look the same in every theme.

Navigation app
Every Maps, map and Directions link in the app, and the Maps link in the places export, follows this choice. The map inside As You Go stays the same. Waze and Apple Maps open their own app if you have it, otherwise your browser.
Moving from another app
Bring your records from another ministry app or a spreadsheet. Your file is read right here on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
From WitnessWork
In WitnessWork, open Settings › Import & Export and tap Create Backup.
Save the file (witness-work-backup.json) to Files, or email it to yourself and save it from there.
Here, tap Choose a file and pick it.
From a spreadsheet (CSV)
Put the column names in the first row: date, minutes, type, studies, notes.
date: 2026-10-23 is safest. 10/23/2026 or 23/10/2026 work too; if a date could be read both ways, you’ll be asked.
minutes: 90, 1:30 or 1.5 (hours). A column called hours works too.
type: Field service, or a credit such as LDC. Leave it blank for field service.
studies (optional): your Bible studies for that month, on any one row of the month.
In Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets, export or download it as CSV, then choose it here. Semicolon-separated files work too.
The CSV from this app’s Export entries can be imported back as well.
From another app’s backup file
In your other ministry app, use its backup feature (often under Settings › Backup) and email the backup to yourself.
Save the attached file to Files, then tap Choose a file here and pick it.
This kind of file needs a small reader that is downloaded when you import it, so you need internet for that step.
What to expect
You see a preview first. Then choose Add to my data, or Replace my data (it asks first and offers a backup).
Importing the same file again adds nothing.
History and hours go on the same days here. Monthly corrections in a backup file are added on the last day of that month, including negative ones.
Reports, service-year totals and your streak update from that history.
Return-visit addresses come with their visits and notes, and show on the map where the file has a location. Bible studies come along too.
Places I’ve served: suggestions only appear where a location exists. Time entries in these files have no location.
Not brought over: territories, pictures, publication tallies (they stay in visit notes) and the other app’s settings, so set your role here in Settings.
WitnessWork backups (.json), spreadsheets (.csv) and backup files from other ministry apps. The type is detected for you.
Welcome to As You Go
Your ministry, Bible studies, reports and return visits — private on your phone.
I serve as
You can change this anytime in Settings › I serve as.
Your privacy
Your hours, reports, studies, addresses and settings are saved only on this phone, in this browser. That includes your congregation and secretary details.
They are private to you and are not sent to or shared with anyone else, including the person who made the app. There’s no account and no server storing your records.
Good to know
Your report goes to your secretary only when you tap Send yourself. It opens your own messages, email, WhatsApp or share app with the report ready to send.
Looking up an address or showing the map uses OpenStreetMap’s free services. They receive the location being looked up or the map area being shown, not your records. Tapping an address’s “map” link opens Google Maps.
When Show weather is on, an approximate location (rounded to about 1 km) is sent to Open-Meteo to get the current forecast. No personal data or records are sent. Turn it off in Settings and Open-Meteo is never contacted.
Because your data lives only on this phone, clearing your browser data or switching phones removes it. Use Backup in Settings regularly.
Tip
Add to Home Screen to open As You Go like an app: tap your browser’s Share or menu button, then choose “Add to Home Screen”.
You can read this again anytime in Settings → About & privacy.
